Here's his amazing story...
"I've always been known as Donnie Miller throughout my entire 40 year career until my 4th album (My name is Kerry Duane Johnson) was released. I left home in 1977 at age 18 and toured the U.S. 250 nights a year for the next 10 with 2 groups. "LEOTUS AND THE UNKNOWNS" and "DONNIE AND THE ROCK". In 1987, I signed with an 8 album deal with SONY and completed 1 album...."ONE OF THE BOYS" in 1990. In 1985, my band opened for THE KINKS on all but 5 dates for their US summer tour.
In 1992 I severed a nerve and tendon on the palm of my left hand virtually ending my career as a guitar player. After a 4 hour surgery to put it back together Dr.'s said I'd never play the way I had again. They were correct. I started playing the BLUES as a means of therapy and it saved both my life and career. I have never looked back and has now been playing the Blues for almost 25 years now. " Donnie Miller a.k.a.
